Blower fan issue 2018 Silverado
The blower fan only runs for 3-4 seconds then quits, turn off the AC then turn the AC back on and fan only runs 3-4 seconds again. The fan will run at whatever speed was selected but only for that 3-4 seconds. Does the same thing operating the heater. Zero previous indication of the blower motor not being happy. A local AC tech with many years experience suggested disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. Tried that and still the same issue. Thanks for any help. Doug

Just a wild guess, any chance it is on a circuit breaker rather than a fuse?
Good luck! |

look into blower motor resistor--age of battery---cabin air filter ---all things to consider ----maybe blower motor itself ----not out of the realm of possibility---FED 387

Re: Blower fan issue 2018 Silverado
It was the blower fan resistor. No resistor to be sold separately at any local supplier. I got a used blower fan with the resistor from a totaled 13,000 km truck and solved the problem. Nobody local had a new fan unit in stock either but I found that ultra low mileage used one from an insurance vehicle salvage operation.
