Aug 8 at DTRP and Aug 10 at TMP
NHRA has its “western swing” - The Joe’s Transmission TNT 10.90 Super Series has “dog days of summer!” Friday August 8th at Dunn Tire Raceway Park (DTRP) marks the first of five events between now and September 14th. Presented by The Balancing Act, this is the rescheduled June 13th event that was cancelled due to rain. Two days following this event, KC Auto Parts presents the TNT Series at Toronto Motorsports Park (TMP) on Sunday August 10th.
A strong turnout is expected at both events as the 2008 TNT points chase gets into full swing. Wayne Sipos from Binbrook Ontario is currently fourth in the standings. A tough competitor, Wayne along with his wife Pat will be there to solidify and improve their position in their classic Corvette.
“The points system for 2008 was set up to allow racers to skip a race or two and still contend. With so many races now packed into such a short time, you’ll see both the car count and the level of competition rise,” said TNT Series Director Ted Barnes.
