M22 Update: I spoke with the second owner, he raced the car as well and verified it was a M22 car. He tore the cluster gear out of it, swapped in a borg warner, and traded the car for an el camino at a local used car lot. Last May he had an auction at his garage to purge out most of his accumulation of stuff, and auctioned the M22 off (for $250!). I contacted the buyer, who had already sold the transmission to a fellow in Manassas with a 67 Camaro, who was very excited that it was a M22 out of a 67. All I know about him is his name is Darren and drives a dump truck. I currently have a $5000 reward out for the return of the transmission. So close it'll make a grown man cry....

We plan to start taking the car apart next month and get started on the restoration.
