This one is also interesting, for the Pontiacs on the list. Lot of the big names were there. I won't mention all of 'em.
John Clegg was still running his '74 SD455 Bird in Stock.
Jack Mullins was not running a wagon yet.
Rock Running was driving a SS/GA '70 Bird, rather than the 455HO powered A-body Stocker he made famous.
Bob Michael is listed with a '72 Bird. I know he ran an SD455 powered '73, for a while. But he's had LOTS of Pontiacs. So, he may have had a '72 at this race, or it may have just been a typo.
A big 4-door Pontiac named "Tijuana Taxi" was entered.
Max Sterling was on the list with a Bird named "White Lightning". I'm familiar with his older big Pontiacs with that name. But, I've never seen a pic of his Bird with that name. Anybody have one they could post ?
There is a guy listed named Keith Miller Sr., with a '67 G/S Pontiac. Wondering what combo that was. I'm thinkin a 4-barrel 400 powered Bird or Goat would run a higher class. Maybe it was a 428 powered Catalina ? Anybody know ?
