Default Re: Two S/SS races November 3-4 Hagerstown MD

A few items about the races.

~Both days are random pairing for first round. Cars will be laddered both days for second round based on winning reaction times of round one. If a tie, closest to the dial-in will get the higher spot on the ladder. If still a tie, the racer doing it first will get the higher spot.

~ Bye runs do not have to be made. No taking the tree, breaking the beam, etc. This is from a deal that happened there one year in the semifinals of Super Pro. The first pair ran, there was smoke on the top end. They shut the bye-run car off in the waterbox. All was fine a minute or two later. They told the bye run to restart. The car would not start. So the racer lost on a bye-run to the finals. I thought that was silly so we changed the rule for us the next year. If you come up to get paired up and have the bye, you may return to the pits or remain in the lanes if it is a round-robin situation.

~First round bye run chosen at random on Saturday and best reaction time on Sunday.

~There are no heads-up Class Runs. This is due to lack of scales, fuel check, etc. All cars must dial the Class Index or quicker. IHRA/old NHRA Indexes are used.
