No one really knew. You'd need a crystal ball. I passed up deals too, e.g., 1967 4-speed Hemi GTX body for $400.00 in 1981 because I lived in the city and didn't have any place to park another car (my daily driver was a 1970 4-speed 383 Road Runner I paid $1,200 for in 1979). Had I any idea of what the future would bring I'd of found a place to store it and other cars I passed up, e.g., 1967 automatic Dodge Hemi Coronet R/T for $2,000.00 in 1982. Then before that, there's the $700.00 4-speed 1968 Hemi Road Runner my dad would
not let me buy in 1975 because he thought it was too much engine for his 16-year-old son's first car and would not loan me the $500.00 I didn't have in order to buy it ("But pop, I'll
never get a deal like this ever again!")
Oh well, hindsight as
always is 20/20.
