Thanks for the info. I actually had an '04 F-350 6.0 PS got lucky, never had problems & learned a lot (especially about NOT using chips). Replaced the idler and serpentine once, and one battery.
Heard good & bad about the 7.3, but seriously looking at the stick since replacing clutches isn't as costly as replacing automatic transmissions. Not liking the issue of replacing the turbo. Is that common, and is it because of oiling issues? Need to climb grades with enclosed 26ft enclosed w 2900 lb car. Just looking for the most bang for the buck.
