Default Re: Gear ratio & clutch recommendation

All true about the McLeod stuff for sure but I failed to mention the Westcott/L&T style stuff will go rounds too without constant adjustment.

The real secret is picking the sweet spot by reading the Racepak during Q sessions and then hanging in there when it comes time to race. We rarely change anything for first round and I doubt Brad does either something indicates it really needs to be adjusted to retain consistency and or to be fairly certain it will go the 7 rounds.

I'll take the go fast clutch (a far lighter and smaller unit than a McLeod) that will also go rounds every time-but hey-it's where ever your comfort and wallet level will allow you to go. Like I said the McLeod stuff is right for 95% handicap stick cars and would never be a bad choice for sure- although you will never see one of these types of clutches in any fast Comp or PS car, and it's not because they have the luxury of pulling it out and servicing it between rounds.
