Default Re: Bellhousing alignment

I don`t know what engine you are building, but on my FE and small block Fords, I have found the common Lakewood offset dowels to fit in the block a bit looser than I would like. To keep the dowels in position, I drilled and tapped a small hole in the blocks bellhousing flange area, and installed 1 small Allen head setscrew for each pin, to lock the dowel pins in position. That way you can Re& Re the bellhousing as needed, without having to worry about knocking a dowel pin out of position.
