A/f meters are great at showing you where the ratio is in relation to the car on the track. ....BUT correcting the fuel curve can be tricky. ...Most of the real experts I've talked to recommend 12.2 to 1 as a safe a/fr to shoot for ,but the car may want to lean out more as you progress down the track,and some cars work better with a much richer ratio at the starting line...........Jetting ,air bleeds and ignition timing all come into play. ...That why its best to establish a base line on the dyno before tuning on the track. .......If the a/fr is in a safe area, I'd start by moving the ign timing to see if it is covering any jetting deficencies...........Tom
