Yeah, I can't imagine a 3000+ pound car with 500 hp is very far below the index as it is.

With a 1.98 first gear and 4.56 in the back, it will work the same on the starting line as it would with a standard 1.76 first gear and 5.13 in the rear. The 1.76 combination would recover better on the shift also.

I doubt a 500 hp motor will like a lot of RPM, but there are a lot of variables.
