My only problem with the HPG-1 is that it is so heavy. Especially, if you use the bracket supplied. Can't beat the price though.

Years ago I used one mounted upside down just before the carb. Read in a magazine that it would give an additional fuel reservoir for the Q-jet since it had such a little float bowl. Sounded like a speed secret to me at the time. Still might have some merit, although I see guys going pretty fast now without any additional fuel reserve.
