Default Re: Goodyear Radial Slick Burnout Procedure

I've been running the Goodyear radials since about '02
What compound are you running?
Track temps?

High gear only 5500-6000 RPM burnout for me, with the D-4A compound, on hot tracks (110*+) I do a dragster style burnout, straight out of the water as soon as it's up on the tires, on cool tracks I let them show some smoke, then roll out.
16 1/2 p.s.i. "hot" on a 3250# car, 5200 stall, TH-400, 4.11 gear.

The soft compound needs little to no burnout on a warm track.
