Norman............I bought one of those manifolds quite a few years ago at the Carlisle swap meet. Mine
has small 283 size throttle bores. I showed it to Div 1 Tech Director Greg Xakellis and he had never seen one like that. I showed it to Bill Jenkins who said it wasn't experimental because it didn't have an X in the casting number. He thought it was interesting but couldn't identify it. One person thought it might be a factory dyno manifold because of the 4 ports on the intake runners. My thought was that it could be tied in to the aluminum heads that Chevy tried to use that didn't work in aprox 1960 and were replaced by the 461X heads. It's a neat manifold and I hope someone out there can shed some light on this.
