As far as making a short street cruise I don't think it would be a problem,except for the gas mileage.Most of the superstock guys drive their cars up to the staging lanes and back to the pits after a run.If you did make a street cruise I would be sure to run the lash when finished,but that is something I would think you have to do currently with the cam you have now.As far as springs go a comp 947 would probably be the best choice,we also have many sets of those that instead of having 300 lb @ 2.100 they have 280 lb on the seat,they work great on bracket cars.Do you know what you valve clearance is with the cam you have now?
