Default Re: Trailer tires

The Goodyear G159 was replaced by the 614 Goodyear and is available in the 14 ply tire used on many stackers. However there seems to be a problem on the 3 axle trailers. We blew out one G159 235/85/R16 14 ply and one 614, both with at least 80% left on them on the last trip to Memphis, one each way. We have used those tires on all kinds of commercial vehicles with great results except for the 3 axle stackers. I just ordered 17.5 tires and wheels for my stacker. That seems to work for the triple axle rig. When those come in I am going to sell my other tires. I have about 10 American Racing 16 X 8, 8 hole wheels and at least that many tires. I wouldn't use them on a three axle trailer, but on a two axle or dual wheels (one ton etc) you absolutely cannot wear them out. If you need more info, call me 985-804-6161
