Default Re: How to Modify Stock '72 GM A body A Arms for more Travel

On alignment specs, I believe you?d want 4-5 degrees positive caster if possible. About 0-.5 degree positive camber and try to keep that thru complete motion of suspension. And 1/8 degree toe. I know there is more to it. I used a race shop. Now retired. I haven?t touched a thing in 7-8 years. Afco 80/20 fronts, Gm 42h0042 springs, global west bushings and the pro forged +1/2? tall ball joints. Stock lowers. Car sits nice. The upper ball joints have what I think for at least my car too much travel. I have photos. Rear has bmr trailing arms HR parts anti roll bar and 4.30 gears. Viking dual adjustables. 5000 stall on brake. 555 with throttle turned down to run 10.0 and goes 1.32-4 60 at 3960. 295/65/15 Hoosier DR2. Radials. Plan on a front shock upgrade this year thru Marty Rinehart.
These A bodies are a lot of fun. Wish I had a killer stocker big block engine. But 10.0 is perfect.
I?d seen Ed?s Chevelle fly. It was a real well thought out and put together car. Very consistent.
