Default Re: fuel shutoff valve

My dad ran a mechanical fuel pump on his alcohol application for a long time. He used a Morse cable on the inside of the car mounted on the dash that ran to a shut-off valve before the high pressure side of the pulley driven fuel pump. The cable was attached to the lever handle and when pulled, would close the valve from inside the car. It would need to be manually reset.

You should not add a fuel line to the inside of the car. If I can find some pictures I'll post them here.
