I've never changed my approach to either shorten or lengthen the time on the stop. The only concern I have is that I want to trip the 60' timer while on the stop every time. If I wasn't doing that, I'd want to increase the cruise RPM until I could do that.

I have to think that less time on the stop would be more consistent, as a gust of wind is going to have less impact on a WOT car.
