Pete,

I have a 71 Rule Book. Here is the text:

MANIFOLD, Super Stock:

Cars competing in the Super Stock classes are permitted the option of using any intake manifold, provided the unit is of the same basic configuration as the original factory unit for carburetor used. ORIGINAL MANIFOLD, PORTED TO SIZE OF STOCK CYLINDER HEADS, PERMITTED, BUT CYLINDER HEAD MUST NOT BE PORTED OR MATCHED TO INTAKE MANIFOLD. Optional manifold must not deviate from original design in height, width, and length more than 1 inch. A 1-inch spacer is permitted between the carburetor(s) and stock manifold, or with a replacement manifold with the same measurements as the original stock manifold.

Hope this helps!
