RE: Confusion over 1406 parts....Not Crazy at all
Having had some experience with editors/publishers on this kind of problem, the human side of the equation is the most difficult to balance.....
Always best to consult manufacturer's instructions / manuals.
Edelbrock Owner's Manual for Performer Series (includes the 1406): Page 8 and page 33......clearly show ball on bottom, weight on top, no spring. Experience absolutely backs up this order of parts as well.
