Default Re: Solar Cells on Trailers

I have had solar on my last trailer for the last 12 years. I have two or three batteries in the trailer that always stay charged. I have 800 watts on top of the trailer. I run the winch, laptop, fan to cool the car etc all weekend and never hardly have to start the generator. They are maintenance free. The charge controls usually die every 4 to five years. Its so cheap to buy now. I have a hard glass unit that I have had on trailers for 20 years. The rest is the flexiable roofing type. The new flexiable panels are easier to mount and more effecient then what I had from 12 years ago. My exisiting trailer is for sale and my new trailer will get solar too.
