There's a balance between those thin oils and the rod/main clearances. Clearances that work fine for 'normal' oil viscosity (5w20, 10w30, etc.) can get you into trouble with the lighter viscosity oils. And the clearances needed to run the lighter oils...all the time... can paint you into a corner if you want to use the heavier stuff.

Do your homework and make sure to involve your engine builder. -Al
