I go on the stop at 0.500, "cruise" at 4200 although it isn't really on the stop long enough to sit there, and I'm off the stop between 1.2 and 1.8 depending on weather and track. In the summer at midwestern 1000' elevation, it is usually 1.35 to 1.6.
I think your suggested numbers will put you a little bit slow, but fairly close. Your ratio should be very close to 3:1 at that RPM.

Awesome, thanks for the reply, looks like I'll be close then..was thinking 3:1 to keep some numbers to play with, 2:1 may be under 1 second in bad weather. Do you have it at .500 to get your car out of the beams and cut a light, or to help get some momentum and keep some numbers on the stop?
