Thoughts and prayers are all well and fine but do not change the outcome of a situation where our health is at risk. As Dan said neither him or I know you personally but It would be imperative to take his suggestion and do anything that might prolong your sharing your life with your wife. I had friends who were told that nothing could be done for them only to resort to alternative means after researching them. I wish you all the best no matter what you decide.
