Default Metric 200 ? 200 vs.200-C

The THM 200 is a great choice to race with , light weight , good selection of aftermarket parts , fast . One question I have, is there is a difference in the spline location of the turbine shaft, and stator shaft of a 200 compared to a 200-C . The spline count is the same , but the earlier 200 which was made before 1981 did not have a convertor clutch , the 200-C was introduced for the 1981 model year and did have a convertor clutch . Stator shaft is quite different . What version of the transmission do most racers use ? Do the convertor builders make a convertor that will fit either version ? I have always concentrated on a 200-C because all the ills of the 200, was fixed in the 200-C , such as a improved servo , pump , gearsets , and deeper pan with improved filter . The aftermarket has fixed some other woes such as a pressed in stator shaft . Also aluminum drums and different gear ratios are available , trick auto shift valve bodies , etc . Just wondering if this stuff is all compatible between the 200 and 200-C .
