I got my October newsletter from Rockauto.com today. Looks like Cardone is making new aluminum brake drums for older GM vehicles!
Part numbers are 2C18000 and 2C18001 in the Rockauto catalog. These are brand new parts, so no need to go scrounging through the recycling yard!
