But in 1970, the NHRA re-factored the 429/375 HP to 410 HP

New Factor ............ #3445 lbs.~ 410 HP = 8.40 Wt./HP

1970 Class {8.00 to 8.49} Wt./HP .......... C/Stock

Fougler Ford {Monrovia, California} ...... Pat Mahnken

The NHRA re-factored the 429/370 HP.

1970 ......... Classed in C/Stock

Can anyone check the factoring back then - the thing Paul mentions about the 429/375 being factored up to 410hp in 1970 (and beyond?)

Thing is, in 1970, Ford had TWO very different 429/375 engines:
Mustang 429/375 = Boss 429 (near-Hemi)
Torino 429/375 = Super-CJ (canted valve wedge)

I also don't see much history of the 429/375scj in NHRA, if it was factored to 410hp that would explain why.

But was the 410hp applied to the 429boss/375 or the 429SCJ/375?
Or maybe both!?!!??
