Any engine OR body that is used for GT classes and is a 2008 or newer COPO, Cobrajet, or Drag Pac must run Factory/GT. The reason I was told is because the engines are not sold as street legal. The bodies use a lighter shipping weight, have different hoods, and are not sold as street legal.

It is possible to run regular SS/GT with a 2008 or newer non COPO, Cobrajet, or Drag Pac body that started life as a regular (read as heavier) street legal car and is in the NHRA classguide.

At least that was the way it was explained to me by tech.
