no no no.....piston rod never came out ! and the only thing I saw them check was lift on the cam....in fact Magee had to go get Bruce because of something with the carb! After they spent some time in the tec trailer looking at the books that was let go. OK so here's the long story....2004 Magee was running K/SA IHRA div.3 doing pretty good in the points...thing is their was 2 or 3 other K/SA in div.3 that he may or may not be able to out run heads up....so (& this is what he told me) he said I can't take a chance having to run one of these guys...I'm doing to good in points to loose like that! He said so I put mufflers and the stock pulleys on it & I'm going to run Pure Stock. He also said it slowed the car down about .3 doing that to it. This was @ Tri-State the week before the Kanahawa Valley points meet....I was their trying to work the bugs out of a new motor & he was their seeing what the car would run. the last time I saw him @ an IHRA race with the car was clay-city in 2005 he was running K/SA he told me that IHRA told him he couldn't run Pure Stock with it anymore.
