It is a gas unit. I installed a new FACET Gold pump. It is in a Gold Rush Trailer that has been in storage for some time prior to purchasing it. I did run a hot wire from the battery and it made no difference. Like I said it fires right up, but shuts down as soon as I let go of the start switch. { either switch...on the unit or at the wall panel}
