I would think .1 would be plenty for a dragster, I had mine coming on at .05 in a door car when I had a stock type front suspension leaving at 3800.

I would get someone to video you and the car, being in a piperack you should be able to see your reaction to the tree and what the tires are doing too. Having some type of data recorder would help as well.
