The guy @ Bowling Green was in 70-72 body style Camaro, his name was Craig Mc Callum, he was from NC?, my friend was just feet from car when stopped,he will never forget what he saw ,it was bad deal. Bowling Green now has concrete walls all the way down track now.

Yeah, that was the one. It looked like a mushroom cloud went straight up in the air for a hundred feet when he hit. The most memorable moment was watching him sail upside down over the top of the Camaro he was racing against...cleared him by about three feet vertically. They tried to finish the event afterwards running it in a 1/8 mile format, but no one's heart was in it. Most of the racers left while a few just idled down the track for points sake.
