The fact is that we need new cars as well as we need the old stuff if we're going to stay healthy as an Eliminator and I believe that Stock is probably the healthiest Eliminator in the NHRA. If anything, the new car guys should be busting us low class, no class and "Dime Rocket" types for not holding up our end. By my count, there were only 5 L/S and under cars in competition at Cecil County. That's pretty bad when you figure that there were 5 COPO Camaros there. C'mon guys, let's get cracking and get some more of those cheap, ugly, slow cars out there!
Billy,

Trying to do my part. Haven't had my slow car out at all this year. I ripped the power steering box off it and took the AC compressor, condensor and lines off it last weekend. Ron Seibenek is bringing me one of his headers to the Nationals next week. My car can run EF/SA in IHRA with a 15.90 index. Which with the next few changes, we might sniff it, maybe get within 3-4/10's. I can get into D/FS for NHRA, that 15.60 will be tough to do with an automatic car.

I am in the slow and ugly categorey.
