I talked to George at Clay Smith Cams today and as soon as I mentioned the 343hp 383s he started talking about the "Shaker" cars and Dave Kempton and Family. I've talked to George before and could tell he is a straight shooter and after talking to him today it confirmed it. He answered questions before I asked them. He said he would grind me any solid cam I wanted from the originals on up to a modern grind.

He stated he has all the archives and if he dug hard enough he could find Kemptons cam specs. I told him that I was doing this just for fun and he suggested to go with the .445 lift and throw some extra duration and rate of lift at it.

He had alot of good stories about winning, getting tore down and meeting all the specs and getting home just in time on Monday morning to go to work again.
