Default Re: Building an 89GT Mustang

My LX is an '89 but claim it as a '91 due to original NHRA weight minimums (now redundant with the new rule allowing to move to top of class weight.). NHRA doesn't differentiate between a MAF and a SD package. As you already know an '89 is a MAF system, mine has a Holley 950 adjustable SD system. Just about every 5.0 stocker uses aftermarket Speed Density or Alpha-N EFI setup. Evan Smith may be the only exception.

The only thing better than the various Mustang 5.0 combos are the people who run them. They are some of the nicest people around. Those who've guided me: Travis Gusso, Earle Holt, Jeff Swanson, Scott Demmy. Two of the biggest though have to be Bret Velde and David Lindsay (C/FI Cobra).
