"intake side of head may not be cut into any part of valve cover bolt holes"....seems pretty clear to me and has for years...of course it also says that any intake manifold permitted must remain original configuration..ie crossram must remain crossram ...not sure how the intakes of today aare considered crossrams..................

If you look at the intake manifold from the front of the car you will notice a slight offset of the carbs which allow the manifold to meet the intent of a crossram. The height of the intake has also been altered and the engines have been lowered on modified k-frames.If you ever go to a show and see a restored Dart or Cuda you can't see the carbs in the scoop. In SS/AH you can them plain as day in the scoop.
