Mex Joe, I bought a couple of those fuel sipping match boxes (5) and put one together to drive daily to work. I got several Ford manuals off of EBay and read a good bit about the little Mazda engined/Kia bodied skate before starting to fool with it. If memory serves me the computer cuts out the fuel injectors at maybe 5200? I think I read about that in the factory Ford manual but I searched and found a good bit of info on the web. I will look and see if can find anything in the stuff I have. BTW weld in some good bars on that dirt racer, my fear is hitting a dog with mine and having to be cut out with the jaws of life lol.
