But let me explain,,,,,,,,,,'most honorable thread contributor'

The 1962 Dodge 'Polara 500' with the 383/343 HP combination had a
9.66 Weight-to-Horsepower Factor.

In 1962,,,,,,,,S/SA Class went from 0.00 to 9.89 Wt/Hp

Meaning, the 383/343 car would have to compete with the 413 Max-Wedge cars.

In 1963, the NHRA opened up the Stock Class, and
B/SA went from 9.50 to 10.59 Wt/Hp.
