Welded crank
Anybody have a problem with welding and repairing a rod journal on a steel crank? Engine is a 327 with a problem on the #4 rod journal. It broke the big end of a rod last season, didn't seem to spin the bearing, but left a gouge on the journal.Crank is a steel large journal .010/.010, and the rest of the crank looks like a good polish job would about do it. I personally have no problem doing that, what do you serious motor people think?
