as has been said, no chute required until 150 MPH and this is the best advice for your high 9.70 car...

very good friend has been doing this for years, slowing his Pro ET/Non Electronics '69 Camaro to run 10.0s all season long regardless of weather. This car is always a top points finisher and contender for the Track Championship, having won back to back championships and the ROC at the Division 1 Bracket Finals. No cage either, rather a 6 point rollbar.

and me, I slow my Pro ET/Non Electronics Firebird to run 9.0s all season long regardless of weather and don't have a chute
