I admit I don't understand the how, why or the politics of how certain car combos get factored. With NHRA weight to horse power ratios used to make it possible for various car models, makes, and engine choices to "even the playing field" or to be able to at least run under an index some what. Why are some makes so softly factored that they can bomb the index by a second or more right out of the box. And then you have some combinations as mentioned earlier in this thread that couldn't run the index with a 75 mph tail wind? Why doesn't NHRA remove some of the HP ratings to allow some of these combos to at least run the index?
