Conventional wisdom would say that more octane would be slower in an engine that doesn't need it, BUT I think there must be some other properties about it that's better than the 110 Purple. It runs exactly the same in my lil' 4-cyl car, but seems to be about .03 quicker with the old 360 Magnum crate motor I had.
We back-to-backed 112 Blue with C12 in Fisher's Mirada, and the E.T. didn't budge -- but it's cheaper, and more stable than the VP.
As with any fuel swap, you may have to play around with jetting to get the absolute best out of it. But, given the research I've done, I choose to run Sunoco Blue 112 full time in everything I have.
For those in the east, call Danny Presnell at Bearden Oil, 800-704-1233, to find a distributor near you.
