I think lack of new blood is more from lack of them not wanting to do anything that requires effort or work.
Shift in my opinion would be what new blood would want.,it is technolgy,looks like you would use your thumbs as they do texting.

Looks like good ideal and neat product, but not for me,I'll keep banging gears as long as I'm racing.
Hope you sell alot of them.
