Bore size is all that is checked. I'm pretty sure numbers are not an issue any more on carbs. I've had Wesley check mine a few times and he does it a little different, some times. He uses the points of the calipers on the bore at the throttle shaft. (Better watch, they wear there... I've seen atleast one Comp guy tossed because of the bore being worn past the size limit at that point) Then he has had a go/no go tool he dropped in the main body. He has also used dividers to measure the main body, in several places. One time He had me pull the base plate and measured from the back side of the booster to see if I had oval shaped the bore. Good Tech guys don't miss too much. :~) Sometimes it is safe to get checked beforehand and sealed. Saves you that big OOOPS!
It looks like the Q-jet is listed with the same bore sizes for 66 &67 so it should be the same carb for both years.
