It's not like it was when we ran off of records, but it is still better than straight bracket racing. When I first tried drag racing again, I ran local no-e brackets. Got tired of giving head starts to big block cars on methanol, just racing a shoe polish bottle. Racing dumbed down. At least we/they have to know a little bit to run under the indexes. I personally like the challenge of performance standards and trying to run with the rest in my class much better than just racing the shoe polish bottle.

If you liked it before, you will still like it better than straight bracket racing. NHRA and their tech guys catch a lot of flack. I admire them for doing the job they do. If it weren't for them we would have no place to play. We would all be stuck with show polish racing, or "index" racing which is the same except they don't get to change the dial.

Probably will cost more than you remembered. Lol
