Phil, I originally thought of wiring the winch through the 7 way, but wasn't sure about the amps going through it when the winch is running. I found the kit I used at Superwinch, so I know the wires / plug are the proper size and will handle the current.
Ed, I thought if the winch leads were not long enough to reach the truck bumper, I was going to run them out the bottom of the box. But it worked out they are long enough, even if they do over the top of the box. I figured I would only have to worry about plugging the winch in when I need to use it. Hopefully after the car is done, I can just drive it on the trailer,
