Most all tachs and gauges will work just fine on 16v. But, you have to be sure and turn the master disconnect to 'off' when you're using the charger because they put out 19 volts+. I killed an Autometer volt meter when I forgot to do that.
Also, I found it best to use the charger every round. The battery would go to high 14's volts after one or two engine cranks.
