I am using the crower sportsman thru bolt rods. I bought my rods from a friend. he bought them and ended up using a different combo. When I checked the rods were $650 from summit. I think you would have to go direct to crower for the rod with an .875 pin.

I dont think you would have any problem with your cast crank. My friend that runs a GT/EA firebird uses a cast crank. It has alot of runs with no issues. He has a very heavy bob weight. Some pistons about like yours and an old set of Summit rods. His engine has been very reliable and runs decent. FYI there was a set of the summit rods for sale on this site for $100 with 40 runs. They would be good for your set up.
