I did in 1968. There was a 64 Fairlane in the Denver area running the Hi-Po also in the 60's.

I don't know of any in recent times, when you look at the engine specs (especially in SS) there is no advantage to the 271hp. In Superstock you can run a 64 Comet 289 which usus the same carb as the H-Po (600 cfm) and only has slightly lower compression, the Comet is rated at 205 in Stock and 220 in Superstock verses 271 hp on the Hi-Po.

The Mustang 289's use a slightly smaller carb but as you can see looking the current race cars they are very competitive.

You could use either the Mustang or the Comet version of the 289 and run in SS/GT but if you want to stay in Stock you are stuck with the 2bbl
